These words from “Great is thy Faithfulness” are getting us through these difficult days. Thank you to all of you who are helping us remember and celebrate Uncle Kirk’s life. While we continue to mourn, we also find solace in using his life as a beacon to follow. As we mentioned earlier, Kirk spent his time shopping, cooking and serving the homeless each week. We look forward to having a celebration of life service, but in the mean time in lieu of flowers we ask for donations in Kirk’s memory to be sent to:

Mom’s report was not as good as we had hoped. This is her fourth day of intubation and while they tried to lessen her sedation, her body needed too much help to do so. They have turned her to her stomach to open her lungs. We ask you to join us in praying for her body to continue to fight and resolve some lingering infections they are treating with antibiotics. Her kidneys have jumped back into action and her creatinine was down to a normal range which is great news. For today we celebrate that her kidneys have improved and for the support of family and friends in times of trial. We continue to teleconference with her. Each time we play Rocky Top and share how all of you are holding us up and loving us well.
